Welcome to Plox Motors Ltd

With over 45 years of experience in the industry, we (Frank and Judith Halsall) formed the company in 1974, carrying out car body repairs, refinishing and a 24-hour recovery service.

In 1997, we expanded the company by branching out into motor engineering. We employed our eldest son Martin who is a qualified MV Diagnostic Technician.

We now employ five fulltime staff and one part-time member of staff.

We expanded once more in 2003 and installed an MOT station carrying out Class 4, 5 and 7 MOTs. Hollie, our daughter, joined the company in December 2009 as Service/Parts Manager.

You can rely on us for a 24-hour recovery service in Lancashire.

We are an independent, family-run business, giving top priority to our customers’ needs. We strive to provide you with an honest, affordable and friendly service.

Our workshop is capable of undertaking the needs of both retail customers and the business sector alike.

At Plox Motors Ltd, we aim to provide an efficient high-quality service with minimal disruption. When possible, we provide free of charge courtesy cars or vans to enable you to carry on with daily life whilst your vehicle is in the safe experienced hands of Plox Motors Ltd.

We also provide local collection and delivery service for that hassle-free service.

No additional work is undertaken without your agreement – we will always advise you of any additional work and the costs involved before any work is done to your car. Once the cost and work has been approved by you, the work is then completed accordingly, which means you are kept informed at all times of what your service will cost.

Complete car servicing

Plox Motors Ltd offers 3 main types of services, each to suit the specific needs of your vehicle. To enable us to advise on future maintenance we keep a record of your vehicle’s service history.

We have now introduced a 50-point check list, for you to keep, which includes a full tyre report of your vehicle when it has been serviced.
